Drink
Water - It can be a
limiting factor for both fat loss and muscle building, you can do
everything right nutritionally and exercise wise, yet if they are don’t
drink sufficient water then results can be non existent. A general rule
of thumb is 1 litre per 25kg of bodyweight.- Be Patient - The most successful fat loss programmes are those that you can live with and integrate into your daily life. A reduced calorie diet is recommended over something as unmanageable as the crazy zero carbohydrate Atkins diet. It’s a symptom of our modern world that we want instant gratification for our efforts but the human body can’t and won’t change overnight. A measly 1lb of fat loss every week may not seem like much after 4 weeks (4lbs), but what about after 6 months.
- Lift Weights – Yes! Adding weight through muscle gain may not seem the ideal way the lose weight. However, muscles are incredibly important to your metabolism. Muscle gain can literally transform your metabolism and add tens-to-hundreds of calories to your daily metabolic rate.
